hotel-courtyard

Looking for a resort-like escape in the heart of Austin but don’t want to spend a ton on it? Then Lone Star Court is the place to be! It is a unique retro-style hotel with outdoor fire pits, swimming pool and all the modern comforts you can imagine.

This boutique hotel is definitely different from all the other conventional city hotels in Austin. It has a relaxing vibe that will bring out your inner cowboy as you sit around the outdoor campfire pits to roast hot dogs and marshmallows! Every room is adorned with colorful photogenic touches like a blue Smeg refrigerator stocked up with snacks and a mini-bar full of beverages, a sliding barn door for the bathroom and braided rugs.

Lone Star Court is located in North Austin, in the Domain area, a famous shopping area known for its upscale luxury shopping, dining, events, and entertainment. Here you will have access to all the modern luxuries – with the best restaurants and the best shopping outlets being just a few steps away and yet you’ll be able to come back to the hotel and chill in their courtyard for that relaxed-getaway kind of experience! So, it’s definitely the best-of-both-worlds kind of experience!

They also have an on-site food truck court so you can enjoy some delicious street food right from the comfort of your hotel room.

Arrival and Check-in Process

Check in – 3 pm | Check out – 12 pm

Since the hotel is located in north Texas, so if you’re coming directly from the airport it will take around 20 to 30 minutes by car. We did rent a car from the airport but using Uber in Austin is also equally convenient.

The check-in process was very smooth and we were highly impressed by the jovial nature of the staff present at the reception. They were very considerate in accommodating all our requests.

The Rooms at Lone Star Court

The hotel has 123 guest rooms in 3 categories including traditional room, deluxe room and suites. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms facing their beautiful courtyard. We were on the first floor so we loved that we could just walk out of the room and relax in the courtyard.

The rooms are very well appointed and adorned with fun touches such as an ice blue SMEG fridge stocked up with goodies, sliding barn door for the bathroom, colorful rug and a comfortable sofa. You get to choose between 2 double beds or a king bed. We chose the king bed and it was very comfortable.

You also get a coffeemaker for your room and there’s fast-speed complimentary WiFi too! Not everything in this hotel is retro-style though, as they’ve also taken care of the luxurious details perfectly by providing soft bathrobes, monogrammed linens, and fancy bath products.
