With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the pressure of making this day extra-special for your partner is very REAL. If you’re still frantically looking for ideas to make this day perfect for your loved one, then just keep on reading, we have the perfect list for you!
Every year we’ve had so many friends tell us that they start planning for this day months in advance – by making reservations to the most exquisite restaurants, booking travel to the most sought-after destinations, and finding the most expensive jewelry. While we understand the sentiment behind gift giving, we believe gifts do not have to be expensive! And the best kind of gift you can give each other is spend quality time together. Doing simple yet cute things for each other, be it waking up early to make them a cup of coffee, or maybe even breakfast in bed or just leaving love notes for them all around the house, can really make their day extra special.
As you may know, we are complete travel fanatics, but we’ve had this Valentine’s Day tradition to completely clear out our schedules for the day for each other and do romantic things together. This year, since all of us our staying indoors, we thought we’d share our list, that we’ve compiled from over the years, with you guys! Here are some fun date ideas, hope you find something that you and your partner will love!
1. Make a Memories Scrapbook Together

Even partners who aren’t into crafts will love doing this fun activity. Grab your favorite instant camera ( our favorite is the FujiFilm Instax Mini 11 ) and start capturing every sweet moment together throughout the day! Write a one-liner with each photo describing what you were doing and how you were feeling for each other during that time. By the end of the day, you’ll be surprised to see how many special moments you actually had together but they might have gone unnoticed if you had not captured them!
For us, this activity is not limited to just one day, we capture all kinds of memories – be it cooking a meal that didn’t turn out as planned, attempting to clean the house but actually making it messier and sometimes, even our fights! Because all those are our treasured emotions, which helps us see how much we have grown together, plus when we look back at them later, we usually share a laugh together! And as they say – A happy relationship is a healthy relationship, right?! In fact, we even make sure to carry our FujiFilm Instant Camera with us whenever we travel. Can’t miss out on those fun memories!
Start making your very own memories scrapbook from this Valentine’s Day itself and this beautiful book will be something that you both will always treasure!

2. Bake Something Together

Both of us love baking together! We feel it is a fun way to spend some undistracted time together. We always find it very therapeutic, plus we get a sweet reward to enjoy together at the end of every bake too! That’s why we keep trying to find new recipes to bake together like this delicious Cream Puffs recipe (what a fun time we had baking this!).
3. Enjoy a Wine and Chocolate Tasting at Home

Wine and chocolate make the perfect combination! And if you love wine and chocolate just like us, then you’d definitely want to do this fun activity! Do your research to find out what wine and chocolate pairings go best together. Prepare your fancy spread and there you have it – your very own Wine and Chocolate Tasting at the comfort of your home! If you don’t want to go through the process of finding the perfect wines, then try a Virtual Wine and Chocolate Tasting – you can pick up the selected pairings or they even deliver it to you!
4. Make Chocolate Fondue

Is there anything more romantic than making your own chocolate covered strawberries with your own warm melted chocolate? I don’t think so! All you need is a Fondue Set, your favorite kind of chocolates and some accompaniments.
5. Play a Fun Game Together

All of us have that one childhood favorite game. Why not take turns to play each other’s favorite game on Valentine’s Day? It is a fun way to relive those childhood memories as well as have fun together. Or even better – Try a couple’s themed game. Our favorite ones are Talk, Flirt, Dare! and Our Moments.
6. Make Them Breakfast in Bed
This may sound very cliché but trust me it works! Most of us usually have very busy mornings where we are running around trying to get things done. On this day, try taking a break from the hustle and bustle, make your partner a delicious breakfast spread and have it together lounging in bed. Sounds fun, right?
7. Take a “Trip” to France from Home

Who says you can’t travel to France without breaking your bank. You absolutely can! And that too in the comfort of your own living room – By having a French-themed date night! Kick off the evening with a glass of French wine like Rosé or Pinot Noir, accompanied with some hors d’oeuvres. We recommend a charcuterie board a variety of delicious French cheeses like Brie, Comté, Roquefort, and Camembert. Make a tasty main course such a Ratatouille or Chicken Cordon Blue. After that, turn on some French music and enjoy a dance together. Or turn on your favorite movie set in France (you can never go wrong with Amélie or An American in Paris). Finally for dessert, enjoy a crème brûlée or chocolate soufflé together! Bon Appétit!
8. Take a Soothing Bath
Turn your everyday bathroom into a luxury suite’s bathroom! Surround the bathtub with some electric candles, add some fizzies ( our favorite one is the Lavender Vanilla Bubble Bath from Bath & Body Works ), sprinkle some rose petals in the water, have a tray of chocolates and a bottle of Champagne set around the bathtub. There you have it – your very own luxury suite experience!
9. Take a Virtual Cocktail Class

Are you more of a cocktails-kinda couple than a beer and wine couple? We totally get it! We are too! That’s why we love taking mixology classes at home to enhance our cocktail making skills and well, also to be able to enjoy those complex cocktails at home. While there are lot of classes on Masterclass and we’ve loved taking them, we especially love the cocktail making classes from Liquid Lab, a New York based mixology company, for their uniqueness and precision to detail. Here you’ll even learn how to make their famous drinks such as the Sweetheart Spritz and Jalapeño Heartbreaker, along with their fun tiki drinks!
10. Use an App to Stargaze

Do you love looking at the stars endlessly, trying to find all the constellations? Then why not make it a couple activity! Wear your cozy clothes and camp out in your backyard to stargaze. You can even use the Night Sky app to find out what constellations you’re looking at. Super romantic, eh?
11. Have a Romantic Movie Marathon
You can’t go wrong with romantic movies on Valentine’s Day. So, grab some popcorn, dim the lights, and settle in on your comfy couch for an evening filled with your favorite rom-coms. We have a huge list of our favorite romantic movies but our top few definitely are A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, and Say Anything!
12. Give Each Other a Massage
We love getting massages whenever we are on vacation but this year, since we’re learning to do everything on our own, then why not be each other’s personal masseuse and masseur as well! So, set the mood by playing some soft background music, light some candles, get your favorite body oil and give each other at least 30 minutes of massage!
13. Have a Fun Karaoke Night
We love our Karaoke Nights and we feel it’s a great bonding activity. Because we are such bad singers, but still enjoy singing so much that this gives both of us a chance to share a laugh together! Try this amazing karaoke microphone and enjoy singing to your favorite tunes from the comfort of your couch.
14. Have a Bonfire in your Backyard

If you have a backyard of your own then make use of that space. Hang some string lights, grab some cozy blankets and build a fire pit. Don’t forget to prepare your favorite hot drink (our favorites are mulled wine and hot chocolate!) and most importantly, s’mores! Make your bonfire even more special by stargazing together as well.
15. Have a Cook-Off
Both of us like to have fun competitive activities at home and having a cook-off is one of them. What we do is prepare a box of mystery ingredients for each other, which we have to use to cook a 3-course meal for the other person – an appetizer, a main, and a dessert! We even score each other using score cards to keep the competition fair! Haha. Our cook-off idea is inspired from the T.V. show Chopped.
16. Learn a New Dance Together
The two of us love to dance (but in private, haha!), so the thought of taking an in-person dance lesson scares us. But, we do love to learn new dance forms especially Salsa, and that’s when virtual dance classes come into play for us! With virtual dance classes, we don’t have to worry about people judging us for being bad dancers (haha!) and we’re still able to learn a new skill. (Our favorite dance classes are from Steezy.)
17. Enjoy a Staycation in your Own City

If you’re bored staying at home all year long and need a change of scenery, then a staycation is the best way to do it, right now! Pick your favorite hotel in your city where you’ve always wanted to stay and have a relaxing day – Treat your body at the spa, order room service, and watch T.V. all day!
18. Do a Scavenger Hunt
Why not prepare a fun treasure hunt activity for your partner? Have hand-written clues and fun riddles spread out all across the house where each clue leads to the next one and there’s a sweet reward waiting for your partner at the end (it could be a gift or anything that they love the most, be creative!). So, what are you waiting for? Hand them their first clue and get the scavenger hunt started!
19. Recreate your First Date
Now, this requires a bit of work but is definitely romantic as hell! You need to get your brain working to remember exactly what you did on your first date. Walk down the same streets, go to the same coffee shop, have dinner at the same restaurant (and if possible, at the same table!). This will surely be a walk down the memory lane and is sure to bring out all those young and romantic feelings you had for each other at that time. You’ll also understand how much your relationship has grown since then.
20. Make Heart Shaped Food

There is no better day to be all-out cheesy and make heart shaped food than Valentine’s Day! You could make so many things, a pizza, a pie, cupcakes – your imagination is the limit! If you don’t want to cook, you can even order heart shaped food these days – check out this Papa John’s Heart-shaped Pizza!
21. Make a Time Capsule
Write cute hand-written notes or wrap sweet gifts for each other and mark the year on each one of them when they should be opened. We usually prepare gifts for the next three years and open them each year. It’s so much fun to see what we thought our partner wanted back then and we also get to relive so many memories!
BONUS !!! 6 SUPER CUTE GIFT IDEAS
1. Roses That Last a Year

Flowers might have become a cliché but with these cute Venus et Fleur’s rose boxes they definitely are not! You can choose from a variety of colors, plus they last a year without any maintenance or watering! Amazing, isn’t it?!
2. All the Chocolates

You’ll say chocolates are boring, but when you get almost every kind of chocolate that ever existed in one box then it’s far from ordinary. La Maison Du Chocolat boxes are one of their kind. You’ll get dark chocolate, ganaches, truffles, chocolate covered almonds, chocolate pralines and what not.
3. Instant Photos and Fun

FujiFilm Instax Mini 11 is the best kind of instant camera for capturing almost everything. It is so easy to use and the photo quality is great too! Start documenting your trips, parties with it and you’ll start making memories.
4. Home Spa Experience

Turn your every bath into a spa with some bath bombs. You can get bubbles and your favorite scented soak whenever you want. This feels so luxurious and yet is so affordable.
5. The Perfect Rosé

You can never go wrong with sparkling Rosé! Find the one that suits your budget and open the bubbly with your loved one. You are sure to have fun!
6. Couple’s Themed Game

There are so many couple’s themed games out there so choose the one that you like most. We recommend trying Our Moments – you get to learn more about each other and spend quality time together.
